Event Description
WIDECAST needs your hands to protect the sea turtles in Costa Rica. Come to learn, enjoy and make the difference in the survival of these amazing endangered creatures. Live on warm,tropical beaches, practice Spanish and help us and have a great vacation. Call us to 00506-2241-7431 or volunteers@latinamericanseaturtles.org. Volunteers need cover their own costs (airplane ticket, ground transportation, however local home stays provide good quality services with delicious food and great beachfront locations (US$45/day lodging & food.) Details
Volunteers will walk at least 4 hours a night to find the nests and relocate the eggs to hatcheries. In Osa you will capture the turtles in the water by nets or snorkeling. You can expect to work at least 4 hours day or night. You will cover the airfare, living costs and miscellaneous. WIDECAST will train you, cover equipment and supplies and local personnel.
