The conference is provided annually by NCAVA to help fulfill its mission to provide educations and leadership towards effective volunteer management in North Carolina. The intended outcome each year is to assist participants in:
Learning new ideas and best practices
Gaining skills that enhance professional development
Strengthening professional networks, that are sustainable beyond the conference
Workshops are held throughout the day during conference. Three workshops are running simultaneously and last 90 minutes. Workshops include topics on the following:
Trends in Volunteerism
Staff and Volunteer Relations
Best Practices with Volunteer Groups
Preparing for Certification
NCAVA members who complete all requirements are recognized and receive the designation of Certified Administrator of Volunteer in North Carolina (CAVNC). Members who are renewing their CAVNC are recognized as well.

Registration will open around noon on Wednesday, May 16 and the conference will end by noon Friday, May 18.
The keynote speaker will speak during dinner Wednesday and there will be a closing speaker Friday.

The conference is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton - Raleigh - Brownstone. There is a 50-room, room block for Wednesday and Thursday nights. The rate is $109/night (plus taxes and room fees). The cut-off for the room rate is Wednesday, April 25, 2018 or when all rooms in room block are sold.
