Elevating Leaders of Volunteers: It’s time to strategize advocacy
Wednesday, May 6 - 2 PM Eastern
How can we, Leaders of volunteers advocate for change? How can we be change-makers and elevate volunteers, volunteerism and our profession? We can use turbulent times to embrace our vision, plan how to initiate change and take the opportunity to strategize our approach. Through examples and tools, in this webinar, we will explore the ways to be change-makers and successfully craft an advocacy strategy for today and the future.
I have spent over 25 years in volunteer management, have held the CVA certification (http://cvacert.org/) since 2005, have presented on the state and national level, have written for several publications on volunteer management and a few years ago, wrote a book on volunteer management (the Volunteer Shelf Life) which came about because heck, volunteers leave for lots of reasons and I was tired of blaming myself every time a volunteer “quit.”
For the last several years, I have been researching ways to elevate volunteer management and volunteerism and have compiled all that research into my latest book, (The Disruptive Volunteer Manager). It’s time we, volunteer managers are given the professional status we’ve earned in the non-profit sector.
This webinar is free for AL!VE members; $25 for the general public (you will be billed). Consider joining AL!VE as a member and your membership dues can be deferred for 90 days!
