A Message from Our Board President & Executive Director
The energy from the National Summit didn’t end when we left the room—it’s still very much alive in the connections we built, the ideas we exchanged, and the shared commitment to advancing our work. There was something powerful about being surrounded by individuals who not only understand the value of volunteer engagement, but who are actively shaping its future.
What stood out most wasn’t just the sessions or the insights—it was the people. New relationships were formed, existing ones were strengthened, and a sense of collective momentum took hold. Those conversations, both planned and spontaneous, are where real progress begins.
Now comes the most important part: carrying that momentum forward. Join a COP, join a committee, attend an AL!VE Academy. As we look ahead to Points of Light in June, we have an opportunity to reconnect, deepen those relationships, and continue building on what we started. It’s a chance to not only revisit the ideas sparked at the Summit, but to share how we’re beginning to put them into action.

Because the true impact of the Summit isn’t measured by what we heard—it’s measured by what we do next.
Let’s stay connected. Let’s be intentional about applying what we learned. And let’s continue to invest in the relationships that will move this work forward.
