Event Description
August Al!ve Academy, August 11, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM EST (60 Minutes)
Long-term volunteers are invaluable to every organization, but what happens when cognitive changes begin to affect their ability to serve? This session explores how volunteer leaders can recognize the signs of cognitive decline, navigate sensitive conversations with empathy, and thoughtfully transition volunteers while honoring their years of service. Participants will gain practical strategies to preserve volunteer dignity, maintain program safety, and create a culture that values lifelong service.
