Event Description
Best Practices in Volunteer Engagement in Support of Succession Planning

September 16, 3 PM Eastern

This webinar is intended for leadership in Local Associations of Volunteer Engagement Professionals.

We are leaders of volunteer engagement. This workshop will explore how ‘best practices’ we apply to our volunteer engagement programs can be applied when staffing the leadership of our local professional associations.

The session will focus on four areas: personal stories regarding the application of best practices as applied to volunteering with local associations; ways AL!VE can support local associations; examples from a local association regarding successful efforts related to succession planning; and finally a personal exercise for each participant – applying  what will be discussed during this session to identify one goal/action item following the session.

Presented by Gerald (Jerry Pannozzo, CVA and the Local Associations Committee

Gerald (Jerry) Pannozzo, CVA: Jerry is an outlier, but he made an intentional career change to volunteer administration. He attained leadership positions after or while serving on committees for the above mentioned associations. Her currently serves on the NYAVA board and chairs the Membership Committee and serves on the Nominating Committee for a fourth year.
