PARTICIPATE: AL!VE Emerging Leaders Mentor Program!

The Emerging Leaders Mentor Program provides a platform for AL!VE members to connect, share best practices and position themselves as leaders in the field through ongoing professional development and skills building.

AL!VE is dedicated to the professional growth and development of leaders in volunteer engagement. The purpose of the Emerging Leaders Mentor Program is to provide a platform for AL!VE members to connect, share best practices and position themselves as leaders in the field through ongoing professional development and skills building. Participants will be paired with AL!VE Mentors to receive individualized coaching and support.

Questionnaires and applications are due Friday, October 9, 2026.

SAVE THE DATES: 

• Mentee Goal Setting (optional): September 23rd, 12-1pm PT / 1-2pm ET
  This session is for any potential mentees who would like assistance in setting their goals for the program that can be included in their application or in preparation for meeting with their mentor!
  NOTE: If you submit your application, you will receive the invite to this session. If you would like to attend this session before submitting your application, please email Megan at megan.vixie@bchd.org for the calendar invite.

• Orientation (required): October 14th, 12-1pm PT / 3-4pm ET
  This session is for everyone to attend to hear from both mentees and mentors in order to best match pairs together. Everyone will be sent the calendar invite after submitting the mentor questionnaire or mentee application.

• Mentor Tips & Best Practices (optional): October 28th, 12-1pm PT / 3-4pm ET
  This session is for mentors on how to best set up the mentorship for success. We will share some best practices and we welcome mentors to share what has worked for them in the past when working with mentees as well as any asks or ideas for what the program can do for you along the way. Mentors will be sent the calendar invite to RSVP.
