A Message from Our Board President & Executive Director
As May comes into bloom, it’s a perfect time to reflect on how our organizations can grow alongside the communities we serve. Just as spring invites new energy and possibility, organizations can “bloom” by embracing strategic volunteer engagement through the Service Enterprise model.
Through the Service Enterprise program, nonprofits are equipped to move beyond traditional volunteer roles and fully integrate volunteers into mission-critical work. This approach not only strengthens capacity amid rising demand and ongoing resource challenges, but also helps address many of the trends we’re seeing across the sector—from staff burnout to shifting volunteer expectations. |

Service Enterprise organizations don’t just engage volunteers—they cultivate them as partners in impact. And in a season all about growth and renewal, there’s no better time to plant the seeds for a more strategic, sustainable future. With energy and gratitude, Jordanya Reeves, CVA, Board President Nicole R. Smith, CVA, Executive Director Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement |
