Event Description
“What could possibly go wrong?” Find out at our AL!VE Webinar November 19
Sometimes, volunteers are injured, or injure someone else or damage someone’s property, in the course of their work. Anticipating and preventing those incidents can not only prevent physical harm, but can also support the organization’s mission by protecting its reputation, protecting its staff and volunteer relations and morale, and controlling its insurance costs. An effective risk management system also helps attract good volunteers, too, by demonstrating the organization’s commitment to volunteers’ and clients’ well-being.
November 19 at 2 p.m. Eastern, AL!VE presents a Webinar, “What could possibly go wrong? – Managing volunteers’ accident and liability risks,” conducted by William Henry of CIMA Volunteers Insurance (an official partner of AL!VE). In the Webinar, you will learn about the most common accident and liability risks involving volunteers, based on the 40-year claims history of the CIMA program. You will learn how to identify the risk exposures specific to your own organization, how to develop a risk management system to address those risks in a way that is practical and appropriate for you, and how to sustain your program even as staff and volunteers come and go. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions during the one-hour session.
