Just because the holidays are upon us and may become frantic, you don't have to! Prioritizing Self-Care is even more important during the holidays. This session will help to put the happy back in holidays as you maneuver your current workload with the additional holiday responsibilities filling your already spinning plates!
Learning Objectives:
- Understand What Self-Care is and its Vital Importance the Impact of Effective Leadership
- Identify Signs of Burnout and Stress
- Develop Self-Care Habits for Long-Term Sustainability
- Effective Boundary Management
Nicole is a dynamic leader in volunteer, intern and community engagement with over two decades of experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, including the performing arts, social services, sports, media and entertainment. As a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) and recognized thought leader, her work has been featured in The Chronicles of Philanthropy, Human Capital Leadership Magazine, and The Volunteer Management Report. A published author of Game On! Relentlessly Pursue Your Dreams and the 101 Note-taking Affirmation Journal Series, she is also the host of the podcast From the Suggestion Box and an international motivational speaker.
Leaders in non-profit organizations and community groups increasingly understand that volunteers can be a critical resource for delivering on a mission. Effective people management and community engagement is imperative – whether they be paid or unpaid. As a result, employers expect that those individuals tasked with mobilizing and coordinating volunteer engagement demonstrate a thorough knowledge of effective practices and an understanding of how to apply that knowledge in support of real-world organizational priorities.
This virtual conference is unlike any other as it promotes empathy and transforms volunteerism through the dismantling of inequities within your work and your community. The content is geared towards all levels of an organization; while focused on volunteer engagement leaders, we encourage participation by funders, executive leadership, board members and key volunteers, to explore ways to increase organizational effectiveness by cultivating a culture of belonging.
Now is the time to transform volunteerism with the empathy effect!
