February AL!VE Academy:  Proven Strategies for the Recruitment and Retention of Latinx Volunteers: February 11, 2025 @ 12:00PM - 90 Minutes

The Latinx population continues to grow. Does your volunteer force represent your Latinx community? Are you looking for ways to engage and retain Latinx volunteers? Is your organization prepared to include more Latinx volunteers? Would you like to learn how volunteerism and the Latinx community intersect?

During our time together, we will start by exploring a cultural awareness of the Latinx community in the USA. Next, we will dive into understanding the Latinx demographics in your community using the latest census data. Then, we'll assess your volunteer program’s current state regarding Latinx representation and strategize for future improvements. Finally, I will share some proven practices for attracting, engaging, recruiting, recognizing, retaining, and supporting Latinx volunteers.

By the end of our session, you will be able to:

  1. Assess your organization's current state of Latinx representation

  2. Plan for the future state of Latinx representation in your volunteer program

  3. Learn tips to recruit and retain Latinx volunteers
